Social Design

What is social design? My understanding is that social design is creating a solution to a problem that affects more than just yourself and the immediate people in your life. I tend to think of social design as developing a tangible solution to a social problem (ie. an object of some kind) but I suppose that systems, frameworks, or even campaigns can also solve social issues (ie. car sharing). Social Design is recognizing a problem in society , or within a social group and working creatively to solve the problem. This is my own understanding based on the readings from class, the discussions, and the Big Ideas Series.
Isn't my rabbit the cutest thing ever?
